Your image - the way you are seen by your clients - and the comfort that you create by a well-designed website cannot be over-emphasised! You may have a unique product or service that would sell like hot cakes, but if the first thing your potential client sees is a website that's been "knocked together" but your nephew as a school project, then fewer clients are likely to spend more than a few seconds reading your homepage message!
You need to find some way to create a way to streamline a task, or an innovative way to present a message to the world. You know there are ways that technology could probably help, but you simply don't have time to research the solutions... and you don't have an IT department to fall back on either. You want your website to deliver a richer experience to your visitors so that they will keep coming back – or "remain engaged" - as the jargon goes! You want this, but you don't want to employ a full-time technician.
So you've created your site, spread the word, started to create dynamic and interesting content and designed a site which is clearly visible to search engines. You're site is fairly well ranked in searches, yet you know that there are still lots of people out there who know nothing about you or your business.
In the "real" world, you'd now probably be thinking about your marketing strategy. Well, it's the same for your website.
Your website is your virtual "shop window". It can hold a display about you, your club, your business... the list is endless. However, for people to stop at the window, and enter the shop to look around – and of course, maybe make a purchase - they need to find you!
